OPNET-BASED MODELING AND SIMULATION OF C4 SYSTEMS

ABSTRACT
    Information superiority is one of the key challenges of a 21st century military force. It will be achieved by the digitization of the battlespace, which will require the specification and accommodation of legacy and new communications systems. The modeling and simulation of distributed and/or parallel systems, such as military communication networks and systems, requires concise,formal modeling and description techniques that must provide an user-friendly framework (i.e., provide reasonable times for preparing and executing a simulation) and must allow qualitative and quantitatives analyses to be performed.
